The Tudor's Not-So-Basic Mudroom

Creating something beautifully is one piece to the puzzle, but highly trafficked rooms require a higher level of design. Mudrooms have only gotten larger over the past years, and we don’t predict this trend slowing down. Back-to-school month has us especially eyeing our utility spaces to see how we can better function. Scroll to the end of this blog to see Meghan’s quick tip for style on the go!

When it came to Meghan’s friends & family entry- she knew she wanted color. When you first walk into the side of Blum’s home, hot pink wallpaper greets you with a warm welcome. She paired a camel-toned grasscloth on the ceiling with a milk glass fixture hanging from antique gold chains. We love the way the chains lower from 4 chains to create a tiered effect. Dark grey cabinetry is complemented with bamboo shaped gold hardware and the dark grey shade is shown on the woodwork surrounding the entire room.

Meghan created personal “drop zones” for each family member in a designated drawer. Meghan’s has sunglasses lined neatly into a storage container for quickly grabbing a pair on the go!
