Meghan Blum Interiors is seeking a talented, full-time Interior Designer to join our team. This in-person position is ideal for someone passionate about timeless design, creative collaboration, and delivering an exceptional client experience.

Project & Client Experience
-
Lead design projects from initial concept through final installation, ensuring every detail reflects our brand’s aesthetic and high standards.
-
Serve as a primary client contact providing clear communication and expert guidance throughout the process.
-
Manage budgets, timelines, and deliverables to keep projects running smoothly and clients informed.
-
Develop design concepts through mood boards, drawings, and curated material selections.
-
Collaborate with our internal team to ensure seamless execution.
-
Coordinate with contractors, builders, and vendors to bring designs to life.
-
Attend installations to confirm every final detail is perfect.

Business Development & Industry Engagement
-
Build and maintain relationships with architects and builders to generate new opportunities.

Stay current on design trends by attending markets, vendor presentations, and continuing education.

Bring fresh ideas and inspiration to the team, helping us refine and evolve our design approach.

Studio Operations & Administrative Support
-
Welcome visitors and answer phones, ensuring every interaction reflects the warmth and professionalism of our brand.

Keep the studio and showroom fresh and inviting
-
Assist with freight damage claims and resolution processes as needed.

Arrange deliveries and installations and coordinate with subcontractors and installers to ensure flawless execution.

Place and track orders, keeping clients and team members informed on status updates.
-
Organize and maintain filing systems and project documentation.
-
Participate in occasional after-hours events, such as local publication events or vendor open houses, representing the firm with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
-
Bachelor Degree in Design preferred or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
-
Effective organizational, oral and written communication skills.
-
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with peers, clients and external contacts.

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently within established time frames.

Exhibited adaptability in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
-
Fluency with computer/creative programs related to position preferred (Chief Architect, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office).

WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
PART-TIME
Location: 9351 Swanson Blvd, Clive, IA 50312
Business Hours: Monday – Friday; 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Schedule: Flexible scheduling offered (you pick your hours), will not work nights or weekends, flexibility during holiday breaks and finals weeks for college students.

MBI is currently seeking Part Time Warehouse Associates. Wages start at $15/hour with ability to receive raises after 90-day probationary period.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Receive and unload delivery trucks and check in deliveries.
-
Pack, load, and deliver product(s) directly to the client, including installation.
-
Pick up and return samples and/or products to and from local vendors.
-
Provide friendly and professional customer service at all times.
-
Utilize time management skills to stay on schedule with delivery appointments.
-
Ensure the warehouse is accessible, safe, and clean for all employees and traffic. Maintain the delivery van, keeping it safe and orderly.
Product Shipping and Receiving:
-
Receive all product from vendors that is sent to our warehouse. Unpack and inspect inventory as it arrives to the warehouse. Organize and store product as it arrives including labeling and tagging as necessary.

Appropriately package and ship product to fulfill orders according to company shipping standards

Organize and keep warehouse tidy and clean
-
Rearrange warehouse as needed to accommodate new product as it arrives
General:

Be punctual in attendance and dependable in performance

Maintain a neat, business-like appearance

Represent the company in a professional manner

Work in a friendly environment at Iowa’s premier interior design studio!

Examples of Job Duties Include:
-
Carrying furniture (sofas, console tables, large rugs, etc.) up and down staircases
-
Moving furniture in the showroom
-
Running "odd-jobs" errands that support the showroom and design team
-
​Delivering lighting to a project (loading the van, unloading, unboxing, checking for damages, and placing in the home)
-
Delivering totes of accessories (up to 30 pounds) to a photoshoot
