When asked to be featured in the Women Leaders feature of this past DSM Magazine issue, I was so excited to showcase my passion for construction. Interior Design can often times be mistaken for a glamorous job of mixing fabrics, watching gorgeous custom furniture being installed, and picking pretty finishes. Some days can be far from the glamour. Balmy electric walkthroughs in January and hard hats on construction sites are also part of the day to day duties of our profession. It was an honor to be in great company with Cassandra Haller (Bankers Trust), Alison Gaskell (Flooring America), Amy Kimberly (Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery), and Tiffan Yamen (Keller Williams Greater Des Moines). Our businesses work together to create masterpiece projects and we couldn’t do it without each other.
