It’s wedding week for Katelyn! It’s such a fun event gathering the entire team and celebrating such a special occasion. Katelyn & Brandon have been together for. 8 years (since sophomores in high school!) & we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this special time in her life with her! When thinking of an idea for Katelyn’s shower, her love of pink first came to mind. Katelyn has a collection of floor-length pink dresses that she wears casually on a Tuesday, so an afternoon covered in pink details was exactly what she got! We showered Katelyn with blush tones, sweets, greek-styled appetizers, & of course, champagne! Katelyn is MBI’s marketing manager, so she’s a lover of details & sentiment when it comes to things. Custom cookies by Brooke Mickelson, food she loves, & displaying her custom invitation was all so fun to see her reaction!
Pink, blush, & neutrals were the look for this shower. A glitzy tablecloth covered in pink sequins was the bottom layer for towering florals in a tiered shape. Peonies, hydrangeas, eucalyptus, tulips, & Lillies made the prettiest arrangements. Katelyn is having all-white florals at her wedding so we kept it more neutral than usual here too. Gold risers, rattan trays, & crystal dishes added the textural element we needed & my favorite rattan wine holder made an appearance too. It’s the perfect stand to host & pop the bubbly!
Food is important at any gathering and I love when a theme can ground the dishes. Pink floral petit fours (The Bake Shoppe) & custom cookies (Brookies Bakery) with details about Katelyn & Brandon were a hit when it came to taste & looks! For the savory side, mediterranean flavors were so refreshing & summery for the season. Parmesan kale chips, spinach & cheese wraps, crab cakes, & smothered mushrooms were all from Cyd’s Catering & some of the best food we’ve ever had. I love opting for a variety of apps & treats for guests to choose from versus a big sit down meal. It’s easier to prep & fun for guests too!
As everything we do, it’s always as a team. Here’s my event dream team! Anna arranged the florals beautifully and Heidi is truly talented at gift wrapping. Forces united to throw off this shower for Katelyn. We wish her and Brandon a lifetime of happiness- cheers to July 16,2022! She will be honeymooning in St. Lucia following her wedding this weekend too!
