A Brilliantly Bold Autumnal Table

Everything I design starts with a color story. Whether it’s for a primary bedroom suite or a table setting, color is a foundational element that makes a strong impression. The team and I got creative with this Thanksgiving table with deep blues and bright oranges. It feels festive and fun, yet traditional and sophisticated. Reds, oranges, yellows and browns might be the palette you initially think of for fall but there’s something refreshing about the unexpected.

Adding playful and interesting pieces to the table is a great conversation starter. We used a variety of vases and bowls to hold a mix of fresh and faux florals. We added fresh produces, like oranges, to pack the punch and supply an organic element to the design. Speaking of bowls, how incredible is this “footed” bowl? You can shop the Roman Legged Bowl on House of Blum!

I've used these orange charger plates before and I just find myself reusing them again and again because they're so classic. Sometimes I see pumpkins in the design and sometimes I see something like mandarin oranges or marigolds. That’s what makes them perfect for seasonal decorating. Blue and orange always complement each other beautifully, so deep blue-hued wine glasses paired with orange napkins, plates, and flowers look fantastic together on this table.
