Prior to launching Meghan Blum Interiors, Meghan studied Interior Design and gained professional experience within the industry designing interiors. In 2015, she fulfilled a personal goal by establishing her own company, Meghan Blum Interiors. Through solid relationships with some of the industry’s most talented architects, contractors and vendors, she is able to bridge the gap seamlessly with the design, building and installation teams and create a truly cohesive work environment.
Meghan's talents exhibit a perfect blend of knowledge, skill, inspiration, and creativity. Design is her passion as she knows it can truly make a difference in people’s lives. When clients ask her to work on their home, the process is about more than decoration—it’s about showing people how to live better and enjoy their home. Meghan believes that being able to work as a designer is a gift—it’s an amazing opportunity to connect families and design spaces that truly inspire others!
Meghan brings sophistication and refinement to every project. Her skill at artfully blending styles and periods has made her a tastemaker and trendsetter with a reputation for having intuition, a keen sense for detail, a fresh eye and a down-to-earth personality that makes everyone feel at home. Oh, and she’s a firm believer that classic black and white will never, ever go out of style.
As Coco Chanel once said, “an interior is the projection of the soul.” Danielle believes that a home reflects more than your lifestyle—it reflects who you are. She is a firm believer in a layered, thoughtful approach to design that is never “finished”—it should evolve with you over time. Travel is near and dear to her heart, and as a collector of vintage and antique maps, she likes to display them in her home to show where her family travels on adventures together.
A 2003 graduate of Interior Design from Iowa State University, Danielle spent time working an internship in Southern California and studied abroad in Rome, Italy. When she settled in the Des Moines area in 2004, she focused her career on residential design within Central Iowa, specifically flooring and new construction. She joined MBI in the fall of 2018 and looks forward to continuing the relationships she has built within the community.
