Designer Diaries: The Dining Room Progress

A few weeks ago I asked which of the updated spaces and I got a lot of, “ANY! Just show us!” which I thought was really fun and sweet. So today I’m sharing the dining room with you! I figured since I had given a few peeks into the process, it’d be extra fun to do a dining room progress report.

Still waiting on the final furniture selections BUT the wallpaper, chandelier, paint, wood flooring, rug etc. is all in and looking great!

Remember what it looked like when we got started?

And then remember the design ideas?

The Phillip Jeffries wallpaper on the ceiling looks like pounded ceiling tiles and the Schumacher wallpaper on the walls is so pretty and dramatic. Once we reupholster the host chairs in green velvet, swap out the side chairs, replace the antique table for a modern one, add custom curtain panels and put sconces in, this room will be done! That list sounds long but we’re really not far off.

Here’s where we’re at with it now. Doesn’t the wallpaper make such a huge difference? We didn’t do any structural changes to this space. New floors, paint, lighting, and wall treatments and it’s like a different space completely.
