Designer Diaries: The Boys' Bathroom Reveal

We’re finally in the most satisfying part of the renovation—the reveals! Thanks so much for the kind words about the sunroom a few weeks ago and about the kitchen peeks you saw in last week’s post. I can’t wait to share more of that gorgeous space next week!!

Today though is all about the boys’ bathroom. If you know me, you won’t be surprised that the bathroom isn’t all that childish. I wanted it to be perfect for Victor and Harry now, when they’re teenagers and even when they’re out of the house (I’m not crying, you are!)

I was really inspired by the era of the home and how classic black and white is never wrong and the boys will never be embarrassed that this is their space—I’ll save blush tiles for another project I suppose! I added the Greek key border because I wanted this home to have the all extra details and finishing elements that I put into my clients’ homes.

This house had 4 upstairs bathrooms but strangely, no bathtub to speak of. Since both of my little guys still take baths, that was an easy design decision. I found a modern feeling tub and I made it look a little more custom by adding a tiled surround to match the rest of the space. The Greek key patterns in the bath niches pull the whole space together.

I love what I got to design for these cuties and how fits in with the aesthetic in the rest of the house.

What things do you want to know in these reveals? Please don’t hesitate to ask questions along the way!
