“My heart holds a rather large amount of gratitude!”
—Winnie the Pooh

With two small sons, I have gotten to know A.A. Milne who wrote about Winnie the Pooh and many of the forest animals. As I look back on this quote, it brings me to all the magic of this time of the year. I too hold a large amount of gratitude as we come to this blessed holiday. Today with this post, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude. I want to express my appreciation to all the moving parts of MBI. It truly is a team effort.

First and foremost is the support of my family. While I love what I do and thankful for this career, it would not be possible without my husband, David. Besides being my rock, he is also my sounding board for MBI. He brings a great deal of credit to this business. He is a hands-on dad and equally shares in all the responsibilities of our home. He keeps me grounded and keeps life in perspective. My greatest joys are two little boys that warm my heart, and bring laughter and joy to our home. Makes all the long days and busy times worth it.

We all have people that influenced our lives, but I so appreciate how my parents taught me to work hard, have a dream and work towards it. I am forever grateful for the integrity and positive attitude that my childhood home exemplified. This support has been unending as my sisters, and super in-laws are always there to lend a helping hand. Whether it is warehouse work, babysitting, graphic design or attending our events at MBI, I know they are always in my corner.

I have the BEST team of designers and support staff Lauren, Kaitlyn, Mindy, Jessi, Danielle, & Brielle. No question about that!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Besides being dedicated, talented and hard working, they are genuinely wonderful people. We actually do have some fun too even when we are deep in an install, paperwork or doing dirty work. These are my associates that are fun to be with even when things get super busy. These women exhibit so many diverse talents and creative ideas that makes me marvel. Even though we are so proud of our finished products, there are times where things are not so glamorous, but a little humor gets us through those times. Thank you. We pack and lug so many totes and never a complaint. This team makes me so thankful and MBI would not be where it is today without this talented crew!

We have a very talented group of tradesmen and women who help us make and install our work. Our upholsterers, drapery workroom, installers, and furniture movers are top notch! I thank them for their skills and helping pull off our vision!

My photographer, Carolyn, and videographer, Israel capture the beauty through their professionalism, that MBI creates for our clients. These two are artists in every way. Photoshoot days can be pretty chaotic , but these two just go with the flow and use their lens to capture our beautiful work.

My social media wouldn’t be where it is without the help of Lauren. She is an artist at mixing pictures and dialogue to create the perfect post. I’m thankful for her dedication and creativity to show our followers what MBI is all about!

I have two accountants that I could not function without, Kevin and Joe! They may be behind the scenes, but I literally could not do this business without them! Their expertise has allowed me to trust their judgment and to move forward. I so appreciate this.

My work as a designer and business owner would not exist if I didn’t have someone who loved and cared for my boys. Our nanny, Rhonda, is so awesome. I am so thankful God brought her into our world. I can go to work in peace knowing the boys are in great hands. Thank you for keeping these two safe, playing with them, drying their tears, teaching them and making them mind.

Last but not least I want to thank our clients and supporters! Without you, none of this would be possible. Thank you for trusting us to allow us to make your house the home you’ve always dreamed of! You are special and have become our friends. We at MBI are so thankful for you. As the late John F Kennedy said, “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them.”

In closing, I thank you for taking the time to read this and see how truly blessed I am to have so many dedicated and talented friends at MBI. So, go eat some turkey, tip a glass of wine and feel the blessings of of the year.

Peace and Joy, Meghan
